About the role

Abhyasa Labs builds a practice-first learning app for CBSE students, used by around 150,000 learners monthly. We are taking one design intern for six months to work alongside our product designer on real shipped work: screen design for new practice formats, illustration touch-ups, and usability sessions with students conducted over video calls. You will present your work in weekly critique and see it in the app within the same month. We want evidence of design thinking, even from classroom projects; a tidy Figma file says more than a long CV. In-office at Koramangala; the stipend shown is annualised. Full-time conversion is possible.

Responsibilities

  • Design screens for new practice formats under the product designer's direction
  • Prepare prototypes for weekly usability sessions with students
  • Take structured notes during sessions and summarise findings
  • Maintain component hygiene in the team Figma workspace
  • Present work in weekly critique and iterate on feedback
  • Assist with production assets for app store listings

Required skills

  • Figma
  • UI Design
  • UX Research

About the company

Abhyasa Labs

EdTech · 11-50 employees · Chennai

Abhyasa Labs builds practice and assessment software for engineering colleges, replacing paper-based internal tests with proctored online assessments and coding labs. Around 70 institutions in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala use the platform. The company is based in Guindy, Chennai, and was founded by two former college faculty members and a systems engineer. It is a small, profitable business that has grown without venture funding. Engineers own features from database to interface, and the company closes for a full week twice a year in addition to standard leave.
