Privacy policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
This describes what NearJob24 holds about you, who can see it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address and password. The password is stored hashed — nobody here can read it.
When you fill in your profile: a headline, your city, a short summary, your expected salary, your notice period, the kind of work you want, your education, your work experience, your skills, and your mobile number. All of it is optional except where a form says otherwise, and you can change or clear any of it.
When you upload a CV: the file itself, its name, type and size.
As you use the site: the jobs you save, the jobs you apply to, alerts you receive, messages you send, and ordinary technical records such as sign-in times and session data.
Who can see it
The public sees nothing about you. Candidate profiles are not published.
Employers searching for candidates can find your profile only while you have "let employers find me" switched on in your profile. You can switch it off, and then you drop out of search.
An employer you apply to sees your profile details, your contact details and your CV. That is the point of applying, and it is the moment your contact details are released — before that, an employer who has found you in search cannot message you.
Important: when you apply, a copy of your details and of your CV as they stood at that moment is stored against that application. That copy stays with the application even if you later change your profile, replace your CV or delete it. It exists so an employer is not left holding an application whose contents changed underneath them.
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
Email we send
We email you about your own applications and messages. We also email you about jobs matching your skills — that one is a switch you control, on the signup form and on your profile, and turning it off stops those emails.
How long we keep it
Your account and profile stay until you ask us to close the account. Applications, and the copies described above, are kept as business records by the employer who received them.
Your choices
You can view and change your profile at any time, replace or delete your CV, switch off discoverability, switch off job-match emails, and ask us to close your account. To ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted, write to the address at the foot of this page.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and update the date below.
