About the role
Nivara Tech Solutions runs a dedicated reliability engineering group serving clients with stringent availability commitments in payments and airline booking. We are hiring senior SREs in Bengaluru to own service-level objectives for a payments client processing peak loads above 4,000 transactions per second. The work covers capacity engineering, chaos testing, incident command and the automation that removes recurring toil. This is a senior, hands-on role: you will be in the incident bridge for severity-one events and accountable for the postmortem quality afterwards. Strong Linux internals, Kubernetes at scale and one scripting language are prerequisites, along with the judgement to push back on risky releases.
Responsibilities
- Define and defend SLOs for high-throughput payment services
- Run capacity planning and load testing ahead of seasonal peaks
- Act as incident commander for severity-one events
- Automate recurring operational toil in Python
- Conduct chaos and failover exercises with client engineering
- Raise postmortem quality and track action closure
