Abhyasa Labs builds practice and assessment software for engineering colleges, replacing paper-based internal tests with proctored online assessments and coding labs. Around 70 institutions in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala use the platform. The company is based in Guindy, Chennai, and was founded by two former college faculty members and a systems engineer. It is a small, profitable business that has grown without venture funding. Engineers own features from database to interface, and the company closes for a full week twice a year in addition to standard leave.
