About the role

Rathnam Auto Components is a precision machining supplier to tractor and commercial vehicle OEMs, operating three units in Coimbatore with 850 employees. We are hiring a Plant HR Officer for our Unit 2 facility. You will manage shift manpower planning with production supervisors, administer attendance and wage inputs, handle grievance redressal on the shop floor, and coordinate with the union committee on day-to-day matters under guidance from the HR Manager. You will also manage contract labour compliance and liaise with government inspectors during visits. Prior HR experience in a unionised manufacturing plant is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Plan shift manpower with production and manage absenteeism backfills
  • Administer attendance, overtime and wage inputs for workmen and staff
  • Handle shop floor grievances and support disciplinary proceedings with documentation
  • Manage contract labour records, licences and contractor bill verification
  • Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain factory compliance registers
