About the role
Sahyadri Capital Services is a Pune-headquartered NBFC financing commercial vehicles and small businesses across Maharashtra and Karnataka through 48 branches. We are hiring Legal Officers in our recoveries function. You will manage arbitration and Section 138 proceedings, coordinate repossession actions within legal bounds, brief and monitor empanelled advocates across districts, and maintain case MIS with realistic recovery assessments. LLB with three to six years in NBFC, bank or DRT-side recovery litigation is required, along with fluency in Marathi and willingness to travel to district courts roughly eight days a month.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and track arbitration, execution and Section 138 cases
- Brief empanelled advocates and audit their case handling quarterly
- Vet repossession actions and documentation for legal compliance
- Appear at critical hearings and settlement conferences where needed
- Maintain litigation MIS with stage-wise status and recovery estimates
- Advise branch teams on legally sound collection practices
