About the role

Qissa Studios produces digital shows, podcasts and branded content, working with a large pool of freelance writers, editors and production vendors. Our Mumbai finance team is hiring a Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping. You will record production expenses against project codes, process freelancer invoices and TDS deductions, reconcile bank statements and payment gateway settlements, and assist with monthly GST workings. Production finance moves quickly and invoices arrive in all shapes, so you need patience and a methodical approach. A B.Com degree with Tally knowledge is required; we will train you on project-based cost tracking used in media production.

Responsibilities

  • Record expenses against project codes and maintain clean ledgers in Tally
  • Process freelancer and vendor invoices with correct TDS deduction
  • Reconcile bank accounts and payment gateway settlements weekly
  • Assist with monthly GST workings and data for return filing
  • Maintain invoice files and support year-end audit documentation
