About the role
Nivara Tech Solutions runs managed cloud operations for enterprise clients alongside its application services business. The Chennai cloud practice supports a retail client's AWS estate spanning around 200 accounts, with infrastructure defined in Terraform and workloads on EKS. We need engineers who have operated Kubernetes in production, can write maintainable Terraform modules rather than one-off scripts, and take change management seriously in a regulated environment. AWS Associate-level certification is expected; Professional is an advantage. This is an on-site role at our Sholinganallur campus with a fortnightly on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Terraform modules for VPC, EKS and data-layer provisioning
- Manage EKS clusters, upgrades and workload autoscaling policies
- Build and improve Jenkins pipelines for application and infrastructure changes
- Implement monitoring and alerting standards across client accounts
- Handle incidents within agreed SLAs and document post-incident reviews
- Drive cost-optimisation reviews with the client's platform team
