About the role
Talvik Systems is a Chennai-based product engineering company serving healthcare, maritime and industrial clients. We need a technical lead for an industrial IoT platform that ingests sensor data from factory equipment and drives maintenance scheduling for a European manufacturer. The platform is Java and Spring Boot on Kubernetes, processing around 80 million events daily. You will lead a team of nine engineers, own architectural decisions with the client's chief architect, and stay hands-on for roughly a third of your time. We want someone who has carried a production system through scale problems, not only greenfield builds. Hybrid from Guindy, Chennai.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and technical direction for the IoT platform
- Lead nine engineers across two feature squads
- Remain hands-on for critical-path design and complex fixes
- Run design reviews and keep technical debt visibly tracked
- Align quarterly technical roadmap with the client's chief architect
- Hire and grow senior engineers within the account
