About the role
Talvik Systems is a product engineering company of around 800 people based in Chennai and Coimbatore, building software products for clients in healthcare, maritime and industrial IoT. We are hiring senior Python developers for a healthcare client's patient-scheduling platform, a Django monolith being incrementally split into services. The work includes performance profiling, background job redesign with Celery and Redis, and careful data-migration planning, since the system runs live in 40 hospitals. We expect strong opinions grounded in production experience. Hybrid working from our Guindy office, three days on-site.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Django services within an incremental decomposition plan
- Profile and fix performance bottlenecks in API and ORM layers
- Redesign background job processing on Celery and Redis
- Plan zero-downtime data migrations for live hospital deployments
- Review code from mid-level developers and set service conventions
- Work with the client's product owner on release sequencing
