About the role

Talvik Systems builds software products for healthcare and industrial clients from Chennai and Coimbatore. Our Coimbatore mobile team owns a native Android application used by field technicians of a European industrial client to inspect and service factory equipment, including offline inspection workflows and camera-based defect capture. We are hiring Kotlin developers with production Android experience, ideally including apps that must work reliably without connectivity. The app runs on ruggedised devices with older Android versions, so pragmatism beats novelty here. On-site at our Peelamedu centre, with a two-week onboarding visit to Chennai.

Responsibilities

  • Develop native Android features in Kotlin for the field service app
  • Build offline-first inspection workflows with dependable sync
  • Support camera capture and annotation on ruggedised devices
  • Maintain compatibility across the client's device fleet and OS versions
  • Write instrumentation tests for critical field workflows
  • Work with the client's product owner on release planning
