About the role

Talvik Systems, a Chennai-based product engineering firm, needs two Angular developers on a nine-month contract for a maritime client's vessel-operations dashboard. The application is Angular 17 with NgRx state management and heavy real-time data display; the work is feature build-out against a well-defined backlog, not a rescue project. The engagement is fully remote within India with a mandatory daily stand-up at 10:30 am IST and quarterly travel to Chennai for planning weeks, expenses covered. Contractors who perform well are routinely offered permanent roles. Immediate joiners or those with notice under two weeks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build Angular features against a groomed backlog with defined acceptance criteria
  • Manage application state consistently using the established NgRx patterns
  • Integrate REST and websocket data feeds for live vessel views
  • Keep components covered by unit tests to the agreed threshold
  • Attend daily stand-ups and fortnightly sprint reviews remotely
  • Travel to Chennai once a quarter for planning weeks

Required skills

  • TypeScript
  • Angular
  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • REST APIs
  • Git

Talvik Systems is a software services company based at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, specialising in product engineering for European and Australian clients in maritime logistics, healthcare administration and retail analytics. Teams work directly with client product owners rather than through layers of coordinators, and most projects run on Java, .NET or Node with managed cloud deployments. Talvik keeps billable utilisation targets moderate to protect code quality, and attrition has stayed under 12 per cent for three years. Hiring focuses on Kerala-based engineers who want product-style work without relocating.
