About the role
Nivara Tech Solutions' data practice builds and operates analytics platforms for clients in retail and pharmaceuticals. We are staffing a Snowflake migration programme for a US retail client, moving around 400 legacy ETL jobs onto Spark and Airflow with Snowflake as the warehouse. The work involves genuine re-engineering, not lift-and-shift, so we want engineers who question job design and can defend modelling decisions. You will pair with client data architects during overlap hours until 9 pm IST twice a week. Hybrid arrangement with two office days at our Madhapur facility.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild legacy ETL jobs as PySpark pipelines orchestrated in Airflow
- Design Snowflake schemas, warehouses and role-based access patterns
- Validate migrated pipelines against legacy outputs with reconciliation checks
- Optimise Spark jobs for cost and runtime on the client's platform
- Document data lineage and pipeline runbooks for the support team
- Join twice-weekly design calls with client architects in US hours
